We're Going Streaking!!!!

Not since "Frank the Tank" ran butt nekkid through the streets in Old School has a streak made this chick feel so darn giddy. The Saints have won 4 in a row people. They're just a half game behind the division leader in the NFC South, with nothing but losing teams to pave their way to the playoffs. Go ahead and marinate on that for a minute...
Four weeks ago, I questioned whether my liver would survive the 2007 season. While their winning has done little more than lead to celebratory drunkness instead of the "drowning my sorrows" variety as exhibited in the 1st four weeks, it's good to know that if and when the alcohol poisoning takes hold, I'll go out on a good note.
4-4. It's not as headline grabbing as the Patriots 9-0 run but quite frankly, we prefer it that way. We're tingly at the thought of our team slowly and quitely creeping to the top of the NFC heap. One day 4-4, next day 10-4, and dare we say, 12-4??? So maybe we're getting a little ahead of ourselves, but you can't help but ponder the possibilites.
Of the Saints remaining opponents, only one has a winning record thus far: the Division Rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We'll take them on at home in the Dome on December 2nd. The home field advantage not only means we'll have the 12th man on our side, but you gotta imagine Jeff Garcia wouldn't come all the way to the Big Easy without exerting some energy playing tussle with the bare-chested club boys at Oz on Bourbon St. It's like letting a kid with a.d.h.d. run wild in FAO Schwarz.
Up next on the schedule is the ever suck-tacular, winless St. Louis Rams. Then, we wrangle in those 4-5 Texans Boys. (Giddy Yup!) We should have a lot to be thankful for come Thanksgiving weekend when we take on the crashing and burning Panthers. Fast forward a couple weeks, and the stage is set for a prime-time plucking of those Dirty Birds. The final two games could prove to be challenging, but certainly winnable. We're at home versus the Ug-gles, then we travel to Chi-town for a rematch (with a side of payback) against 'Da Bears.'
The Saints are sittin' pretty my friends. The offense..."They're baa-ack!" And the defense, well Jason David still sucks, but at least now the secondary is finding ways to make up for the big plays they give up. I truly believe this team controls its own destiny.
As a reward for enjoying my overly optimistic diatribe, enjoy Frank the Tank at his finest...
