Wayne Nordhagen (Wayne Oren Nordhagen) was born on July 4, 1948 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He made his Major League debut on July 16, 1976 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1978, his rookie year, he hit .301 with 5 home runs and 35 RBI. Nordhagen played for the Chicago White Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Wayne Nordhagen's best season was 1980, when he slugged 15 home runs, hit for a .277 average and knocked in 59 runs.
