Wayne Hansen (George Wayne Hansen) was born on October 6, 1928 in McCamey, Texas. After going to high school at Monahans (TX), Hansen attended the University of Texas-El Paso. Hansen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1954 was Wayne Hansen's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
