Born on March 9, 1974 in Wilmington, Delaware, Wayne Franklin (Gary Wayne Franklin) played for the Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 7 year career. Franklin broke into the bigs on July 24, 2000 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 5.50 ERA in 194.2 innings pitched in 2003, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Wayne Franklin's best season was 2003, when he won 10 games and struck out 116 batters.
