Wayne Comer (Harry Wayne Comer) was born on February 3, 1944 in Shenandoah, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1967 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 15 home runs and 54 RBI. Comer played for the Detroit Tigers, Seattle Pilots, Washington Senators and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Wayne Comer's best season was 1969, when he slugged 15 home runs and knocked in 54 runs.
