Water Cooler:MLB on Fox is Completely Inept
John Mayberry Jr. was called up from the minors to play for the WFC on Saturday. He hit a home run at Yankee Stadium. Congrats to him. FOX went on to show his father, former major leaguer John Mayberry Sr. They kept highlighting him, and then FOX realized that wasn't actually him.
This is a firing offense. But if you fire the people responsible for failing to do simple research, how are we going to get hilariousness like this? Absolutely classic stuff from FOX.
People make mistakes all the time, some of which endanger others or even take lives. Sometimes it's the nature of the job and a certain amount of risk is inherent. Other times it's a matter of employees being overworked or given certain distraction by superiors. either way, those people have been known to keep their jobs.
Yet you want someone fired for pointing to the wrong person in the stands?
