Dmitri Young, the hot-hitting first basemen for the Washington Nationals, has been named the 2007 National League Comeback Player of the Year. Young flirted with the N.L. batting crown late in the season, before finishing with a team-leading .320 average, 13 home runs, 74 RBI and 38 doubles. He earned his second all-star appearance this season.

Young was definitly deserving of this award. Considering that last year this time he was out of baseball and suffering form serious health problems, and this year he was the voice and the heart and soul of an up anc coming Nats team was something special to see.
