Was Landis Set Up?

First of all I want to apologize to the readers of the site for being too harsh yesterday. And thanks for all of the great feedback on the Ortiz article. Except that calling other articles trash is sort of hypocritical isn't it? Anyways I promise not to be to harsh anymore. I dont want you guys thinking Im a bad guy. Ok on to the article.

I am going to look at this article from both sides and look for some feedback from you guys. Could Floyd Landis have been set up? Lets look at that side of the story first. They do test each rider before and after each stage. It just so happens he tests positive the first time after he starts doing well. It shouldnt have kicked in for at least a week. Did he just get lucky on the first 30 tests?

It was like the French got screwed because the American came back from a huge deficit, and they couldnt see an American win. Its also the agencies law that they have to wait to release results for 30 days. This is so the rider can have time to gather a defense, which Landis couldn't.

The French could have very easily been out to get Landis. But there is still the other side of the story. Landis came back from a deficit that is impossible to make up. Like being behind 7 nothing in the second half of a soccer game.

He also came up with about 15 excuses for why the test was positive. And how is it that he did so well right when he tested positive? There is a very good chance he used steroids. Either way you look at it, it is a very intruiging story.

This was the greatest single day performance ever. It sucks to think it may have been done while on steroids.

Give me some feedback on what you guys think. Thanks again for all the support.

Landis said he was tested multiple times throughout the Tour de France and this was the only one to come back positive. Why would Landis start taking testosterone part way through and wouldn't it have shown up in more than one test?

Set up? I don't think so - He's a cheater and a liar and he's come out of this debacle looking like one of the most pathetic chaps in recent memory. An ebarrassment to this country.
