Ward Miller (Ward Taylor Miller) was born on July 5, 1884 in Mount Carroll, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1909 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1909, his rookie year, he hit .254 with 0 home runs and 8 RBI. Miller played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Terriers and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that Ward Miller's best season was 1915, when he stole 33 bases, hit for a .306 average and knocked in 63 runs.
