Walt Michaels (Walter Michaels) was born on October 16, 1929 in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Swoyersville (PA), Michaels attended Washington and Lee University. Michaels made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the Green Bay Packers. He played in the NFL for 11 year, playing for the Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 11 year NFL career.Michaels also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Jets the entire time.

Most people believe that 1952 was Walt Michaels's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
