Walt Kiesling (Walter Andrew Kiesling) was born on March 27, 1903 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After going to high school at Cretin (St. Paul, MN), Kiesling attended the University of St. Thomas. Kiesling made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Duluth Eskimos. He played for the Chicago Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Duluth Eskimos, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Pottsville Maroons over the course of his 13 year career.
