Walt Garrison (Walter Benton Garrison) was born on July 23, 1944 in Denton, Texas. After going to high school at Lewisville (TX), Garrison attended Oklahoma State University. Garrison made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys for his entire 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1972 was Walt Garrison's best year, as he ran for 784 yards, ran in 7 TDs and hauled in 37 receptions.
