Walt Brindley (Walter C. Brindley) was born on May 24, 1895 in , IA. After going to high school at West (Des Moines, IA), Brindley attended Drake University. Brindley made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Rock Island Independents. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Rock Island Independents the entire time.
