Wahoo Mcdaniel (Edward Wahoo McDaniel) was born on June 19, 1938 in Burnice, Louisiana. After going to high school at Midland (TX), Mcdaniel attended the University of Oklahoma. Mcdaniel made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, New York Jets and Houston Oilers over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1962 was Wahoo Mcdaniel's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
