Wade Wilson upset.

by BradyToMoss

This is another pretty funny story from ESPN.com. Cowboys QB Coach Wade Wilson is upset that there is inconsistency between his suspension and the ruling the Patriots received. He claims he is going to write a letter to Roger Goddell asking why.

Story here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3019472

Listen, Wade... while you may have been suspended, and Belichick wasn't, he is still forfeiting about 2x the money you will be on your suspension. Shut up and stop crying like a child.

What are you in 3rd grade? If you aren't going to write an article, just put your childish babbling in the locker room.

As for the content of the ESPN article, Wilson is entirely correct. Ge got suspended 5 games for taking performance enhancing drugs AS A COACH. Something that has no affect on the game or even the reputation of the league. Belicheck, also a coach, cheating during a game. How is it that he gets no suspension?

You have to admit that Wilson makes a lotof sense on this one.

Ask the Dallas Cowboys if they'd rather have their QB coach suspended for 5 games, or have to fork over a few hundred grand and a 1st round draft pick.

By the way, Wade Wilson makes $300,000 a year, which is smaller than Belichick's fine. Also, he is suspended WITH PAY.

Wilson got suspended not for taking HGH, but for ordering it. He is a coach, so who cares if he takes it? But who are the people he works closest to? PLAYERS! 5 games is too harsh, but some sort of penalty for acquiring HGH is perfectly appropriate.

I agree Wilson got shafted he lost 5 games and about a third of his salary for tyring to improve his life. HGH is what he was busted for. HGH can help improve the quality of life for a diabetic person. HGH does not make a person a better coach. It is absolute BS that he lost part of his livelyhood for that while Belichick gets off with a free pass.

But Wilson didn't get it through legal channels. That is why he got in trouble. But to get a 5 game ban for that and to get nothing for actually cheating during a game (likely multiple games) makes no sense.

I'm pretty sure the Cowboys will fork over the $100,000 for the fine. That's standard procedure.

1) not talking about the fine

2) Don't see why the Cowboys wouldpay the fine for a coach who does something illegal outside of football. Does a team pay the fine when its coach gets fined for drunk driving?

3) There is no comparison between a coach taking HGH for his diabetes and a coach cheating repeatedly even after being warned.

Teams usually pay fines given out by their league. I agree with #3, there is no comparison between Wilson's violation and the Patriots' violation. Yet, everyone seems to be trying to compare them.

I've seen this idea that the team pays fines levied by the league several places at AGM. Does anyone have any evidence of this? Because according to Peter King in this article, that is not the case. Granted, he is talking about players, but I don't see why it would be any different for coaches.

Wade Wilson is being punished for what Wade Wilson did. The Patriots are being punished for what the Patriots did. You can say that Belichick got off easy with no suspension, but the TEAM didn't get off without punishment, losing a 1st round pick, or a 2nd and 3rd.

The have 2 first rounders this year, the lost of draft picks gives them more money to spend on free agency not a bad deal. If they wanted to punish the team make Belichick sit.

Losing a 1st round draft pick isn't a big deal? They were going to have 2, which also means they were loaded for any trades they wanted to make. Just because you have 2 doesn't mean a 1st round pick doesn't have value. And you know what, in the long run, I'd rather have Belichick sit for 2 or 3 games than give up the pick.

And where do you think they got that extra pick? They traded for it. So now that trade was for nothing.

Wade Wilson has every right to be upset. I would say more right to do so than you have to write "articles" on this website. Come strong or stay home, BradyToMoss. Preferrably the latter if this is the kind of drivel you're going to post.

First of all, it helps to get basic facts right. Wilson's fine was $100K, Belichick's was $500K, so that would be 5X, not "about 2X". It's in the article you sited. And I also agree that Wilson has reason to question the consistency of these punishments. Five games for something that does not alter the game whatsoever versus no games for something that directly affects games? Draft pick losses aside, Belichick needs to be personally held accountable, and the fine does not do that as much as a suspension.

"Draft pick losses aside" Yes, because draft picks are meaningless, especially when they're 1st round picks.

Never said they were meaningless. If you have been keeping up with other threads, I have been arguing that the loss of the pick is quite substantial.

All I mean here is that Belichick needs to be held personally accountable. That's what I meant when I said "Belichick needs to be held personally accountable" in the above comment. Losing the draft pick hurts the team, but I want Belichick held directly responsible.

How about you read my comment again, and this time try not to be so defensive.
