Wade Phillips is weighing down Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys are pretty much stocked with talent this year.
They've got a young gun at QB who can make every throw in the book, even if he's a little over anxious sometimes. They've got several running backs that will make things tough on defenses. And they've got a pretty good defense to boot. So, why can't I pick this team to go any further than they did last year? Wade Phillips.
Wade has had a coaching job before, and it didn't go well - in Buffalo. There are some people that are just great coordinators, but make terrible head coaches: Martz, Campo, Crennel. Add Wade to that list. As a defensive coordinator, he has to be top-5 in the league. He took the Falcons, under his tutelage to the NFC championship. Then, he was on the horribly underachieving but regular-season-dominant San Diego Chargers team. He tutored Shawne Merriman, and he's turned out to be one of the best [young] defensive players in the league.
There's no doubt in my mind, that Wade was hired to look good (?) on the sidelines, while Jerry Jones does the actual coaching. Unlike Parcells, Wade has no leverage of success, and is a dough-boy in more ways than one. He's completely clueless what to do as a head coach, and he'll screw things up for a very talented Dallas Cowboys team. I think of him as an equivalent of Flip Saunders. When things are going great, he's the man. When things start falling apart, he'll stare blankly onto the field.
