WVU loses Backyard Brawl (could hell be freezing over?)

Like Icarus who flew too close to the sun, like the hare who thought he could be the tortise or Dennis Eckersley who thought he could sneak a fastball past Kirk Gibson, the West Virginia Mountaineers took Pittsburgh too lightly and got beaten by a team with a losing record that had nothing really to lose other than they now have bragging rights for the next 364 days. It's also given Ohio State some major hope for the BCS.
The Mountaineers lost Pat White to a thumb injury on the non-throwing hand and that may have sealed their fate. What this loss means is that Dave Wanndstedt, who got a contract extension this week, saves his job for another year and the blogs in Morgantown (which is a dry campus, by the way. Almost went to school there.) as well as the talk shows and second guessers will come out like long lost cousins or those Catholics that only go to church twice a year. WVU did not rush the ball very well, 114 yards on 14 carries, while Pittsburgh's LeSean McCoy rushed for over 100 (148, to be exact), carrying the Panthers on his back.
This loss has basically sent the BCS world out of orbit and crashing like a death star.
