WEEK 5 PREVIEW BY THE KOMMISH!!!!

Jags vs. KC – Who were those guys in red last week? Just goes to show how bad SD DEF has become.  Jags seem to be holding their own with Garrard at the helm, but no major outstanding efforts from Fred Taylor or MJD. Fantasy fans take a chance – if LT would have had more than 20 touches, SD would have won.  KC keeps sticking around with their stingy defense of their own. Last week the KC offense looked like the old one.  This is a coin flip game folks – HIGH risk on the over/under as well as fantasy players.

Arizona vs. Rams – Holy Toledo Batman! The dynamic duo of Matt & Kurt keeps all of the defenses guessing. And where did the special teams come from. Oh yeah, that’s right your head coach knows all of the Steelers weaknesses. Whoops. Now, the dynamic duo is taking the show on the road to St. Louis. Don’t worry Bulger is out and Gus is in! In Gus we trust (used to be the Redskins saying), and you should. History has proven that Gus puts up the numbers even for fantasy players (if you’re desperate only). This game ALSO is a coin flip. A second HIGH risk game.

Atlanta vs. Titans – Titans with the week of are well rested and ready to obliterate anyone & everyone. The Falcons are coming off a big win against Matt Schaub, and will look to keep that going. However, it’s back to reality for Joey. Titans win by 17.

Lions vs. Washington – ok, Lions are on a good streak here (against sub par talent) and are now going on the road to where they have NEVER won. The Redskins have also had an extra week to prepare and should worry the Lions staff. Jason Campbell SHOULD have a career game here if he plays it right. Portis could also get 100yrds. Will Randle El finally show back up like week 1 or do the Lions pull of the win of the year that DESPERATELY need?

Cleveland vs. NE – Cinncy found out that NE is not playing around. The Browns have the worst DEF in the league and NE could seriously expose it by scoring 60. Last week I predicted Pitt would do it vs. the Cards, and I was wrong- but we all know this could be it. Romeo has his biggest challenge ahead of him this week, Randy Moss! None of the defense players in the NFL can handle him 1 on 1. Look for Cleveland to try and double him just to keep the game close. But still, with all the weapons NE has, the Browns are hosed.

Seattle vs. Steelers – The Steelers fell off the wagon last week due to a former coach. This is a home game they MUST have. And Seattle is quietly trying to regain their status as well. But BOTH teams lost to the Cards. We still have to go with the Steelers here folks. It should be a great fantasy set up for all offensive players. This game should be in the upper 20’s by both teams.

NYJ vs. NYG – NEW YORK, NEW YORK – This is just like the battle of Ohio. Expect the unexpected folks. Nobody knows the troubles fantasy players have seen when these 2 meet. Although NYG have taken down a lot and wiped Philly up with a mop, this is a cruel rivalry. NYG though by 3.

Carolina vs. NO – This is my GAME OF THE WEEK to watch - Jake is out & David Carr is in! Which Panthers DEF will show up? The bigger question is will the NO Saints of last year show up? They too have had the week off and since they knew since their last game that Deuce is out for the year, the format and era of Reggie Bush should get moving this week. Drew Brees has had long enough time to get his act together, get laid and a massage. He better put up the ultimate numbers this week or not only will fantasy owners bench him, but the Saints might too. Plenty of pressure on the Saints to win and I think they will by 5.

Miami vs. Houston – Apparently the Falcons DEF knew Matt’s weaknesses. So this week he needs to watch his backside and hang on to the ball. Ahman Green is still out this week, so he’ll be slinging it because he has to. With no running game, Miami’s DEF will be blitzing unconsciously. This should make things easy for Miami’s offense. Miami could pull this one off in Houston if the Texans are still down in the dumps from last week’s loss. Coin flip this game folks and expect no serious offense.

TB vs. Indy – Where did TB come from??? Indy is going to be missing JA and Harrison. So, the WR’s are cut by 1 and the RB situation will be minimal apparently. Plus the missing of 1 safety could give TB a snowballs chance in the RCA Dome. Picking Indy with caution and still start your usual fantasy folks.

SD vs. Denver – Mike Shanahan has a microscope of SD’s game last week. He is going to keep the Norv Turner era a dismal one. Don’t expect the 100+yrds from LT. Gates has been missed by Rivers on 7 wide open attempts. Rivers seems to not know his comfort level in this offense. He looks like Ryan Leaf rather than the invested QB that the Chargers thought they had. Denver wins at home.

Baltimore vs. SF – Cleveland exposed the Ravens DEF last week and Billick will NOT let that happen again. Expect the 49ers to be lost as well. Alex is out - & Trent Dilfer is in. The former Ravens QB could be an easy target as the DEF will no doubt remember his weaknesses.  Unless jet lag gets the best of em, the Ravens win by 10.

Chicago vs. GB – GB could get their running game going this week with the Chi town DEF still being holey. Morency was limited in practice due to soreness and will get a few more touches this week, but Wynn will start with Jackson out. Hester is still your only offensive weapon on special teams of course, but I don’t see him getting one this week. So bench all ya ‘ bears. GB wins at home.

Dallas vs. Buffalo – Start all Dallas offensive personnel. Hell if I could I’d start the offensive line. Buffalo stands no chance at home – infact the Bills put up a “0”. They should have changed the Sunday & Monday Night games this week. You’ll be watching the baseball playoffs instead of this game.
