I'll challenge anyone to a showdown over who's No. 2 in the Country. I'll take Michigan, you can take whoever else you want, just leave a note on my talk page.

I agree, it's Michigan, and my ballot will reflect that. They're a one-loss team like all the rest (sorry Boise State) and their only loss is to an undefeated consensus #1 on the road by three points.

That's true. Michigan only has my number two vote for now. I'm waiting to see what happens with the SEC and with USC. If USC wins out, they're my number two, hands down. And if the winner of the SEC finishes strong, they might have my third place vote. But I have to wait and see the games. For now, because of how they played, I've got Michigan as my number two team. But just for now.

I'm here af2, don't worry. I love Rugers and know the Big East is getting 2 BCS bowls. I know that the Big East will send six of eight teams to bowls. I know we will represent on game day. I just can't wait for the bowl games. What do you think anyone from NY/NJ is gonna shy away from a debate with anyone on here? don't embarrass yourself and this board.

We've already seen the math, and they're not going to two BCS bowls. You have Boise State, Notre Dame, and the winners of the six major conferences. That leaves two open spots. With Arkansas, LSU and Florida all ranked ahead of Louisville in the human polls, the loser of the SEC championship will almost certainly get an at-large bid. Then you have Wisconsin at number 8, ahead of Louisville. Unless something humiliating happens to the SEC, the Big East will not get two BCS Bowls.

And I love aswaff's rankings of the Big East teams, could you have ranked them any lower? It is laughable, you really think that Texas is good? You have stated on many other articles that Texas was not good this year and the Big 12 was not a good conference this year. Yet you have them ranked so high? give it up. I would love to see WV play Texas in a bowl. Only that won't happen cause WV is much better and will probably play either Michigan or USC. Look at all of the teams that you have ranked higher than WV? It is really laughable. What does your boy sagarin say about your biased poll? Let's see texas finish out the season with a win a convincing one with the last game at home. or will they struggle to beat an average team, AGAIN.

Hey, idiot, your star team just lost. Stop talking smack. Where would you have me ranks teams in a division that just keep beating each other? Where do you want me to rank a Rutgers team that only has one win against anyone even reasonably respectable, and a loss that a complete pounding at the hands of a mediocre Cincy team that was missing its starting QB? I could have put Louisville behind undefeated Boise State.

And yeah, I do think Texas is that good. And I'm not the only one. I have them at ninth, and they're 10th in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Struggle against an average team? Rutgers just got POUNDED by Cincinnatti. Go back to a land where reasonable arguments prevail. You sound like an idiot.

By the way, I've said all season that I would also love to see Texas play against WVU. They average 330 yards rushing per game, Texas allows an average of 49. I think it would be a really exciting game to watch.

They might, but they need help from the SEC. Barring a weak finish by Arkansas, Florida and/or LSU, the spots aren't there for WVU and Louisville.

Secondly, I never changed my position on UT. They're not that good this year, but there are a lot of teams that are not that good this year. UT is down, the Big 12 is down, and that is reflected by the fact that the highest ranked team I have from the Big 12 is only number nine.

I said that margin of victory couldn't be used to compare one win to another. Yet again, you seem to have completely missed what I said. I never said you could throw margin of victory out the window, I just said that you can't use it to compare, for example, Texas beating Nebraska to USC beating Nebraska.

DESERVE? Maybe not. But the winner of the Big 12 gets an automatic berth. If they win the Big 12, whether they deserve it or not, they will get the BCS Bowl. Kind of like Georgia from the SEC last year, or Pittsburgh from the Big East the year before.

I'm also kind of wondering when the world got so high on West Virginia again. The human polls have them at number seven. For what - all the yards they racked up agianst sorry old Pittsburgh? This is another great example of one team getting the benefit of losing earlier than other teams. Are the writers here at AGM the only ones that remember them losing to Louisville? If West Virginia lost to Lousiville, and Lousiville lost to Rutgers, AND Louisville has played the toughest schedule of the three, how is West Virginia ranked highest?

You tell em AF#3. These Big East-hatin homers don't know anything about college football. Both Louisville and West Virginia will go to BCS Bowl games. And Aswaff, not too sure what you are trying to say about West Virginia? They had one loss on the road to a very good team. Without all of the turnovers would have still won the game. West Virginia would kick the crap out of Texas, USC, Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, etc...I will wait for the Bowl Games....after Texas loses and the Big East does the conference proud, you will disappear again. Like you did after that embarrassing Texas loss.

I'm not a Big East-hater, and I'm not a homer. I'm a realist. I said Rutgers didn't deserve a bid in the national championship, and I was vindicated this weekend, while y'all CONTINUE to be wrong. Stop talking about who WVU would beat the crap out of, they've only played one good team and lost.

And they would have won if it weren't for the turnovers? That's like me saying that UT would have defeated Ohio State if they had been able to stop the pass. They got beat, plain and simple.

Again, I never contradicted myself. Texas isn't that good, meaning that their team isn't that good. But, considering the way everyone else has played this year, they're good enough for 9th or 10th place. At least for now. It's kind of like how the ACC isn't that good this year, but Virginia Tech is good enough for a ranking of about 12. For a team that was in the national championship last year, Texas is not that good. I've been consistent on that, so stop trying to miportray my words. It's really tired.

Let me put it another way - Texas isn't that good, but there are teams that are worse. I don't think they're that good this year, but even when Texas isn't that good, they're still better than a lot of teams. That's why I have them ranked where I have them ranked. But I'll justify my rankings to AFs no longer. Y'all just keep having fun thinking the Big East is the best conference around. I'll see you come bowl season.

I still don't understand their reasoning on West Virginia getting an at-large bid. Even if West Virginia defeats Rutgers, there's a possibility that they would finished ranked behind the loser of the SEC championship. Florida is currently ahead of them by almost two points, and Arkansas is ahead by almost a full point, even before the possibility of defeating LSU. I can understand why they'd make the pick, but I disagree with it. It seems to me that the last at-large is the SEC's to lose.

By the way, for the people that were ripping me for my rankings on the poll - stop just picking on me because you don't like what I have to say. There were six other people that ranked UT within one spot of where I ranked them, and one that ranked them two spots higher, but you had no criticism for them. There were five people that ranked Louisville within on spot of where I ranked them, and two that ranked them two spots lower, but you had no criticism for them. There were three people that ranked WVU within one spot of where I ranked them, and two other people that ranked Rutgers 20th. But you had criticism for none of these people. Either be consistent in complaining about AGM users underrating the Big East, or stop whining. It's not just me.
