Every year, people wait until a few days before the midsummer classic to bitch and moan about what's wronjg with it and baseball in general. Of course it's baseball's own fault, making the exhibition of it's teams and players "mean something this time"... Everyone knows that the league with the best record in interleague play SHOULD host the Series (AL this year...).
But let other people re-hash that tired subject all week, I'll just watch the game and smile.
I am issuing a special challenge!!!!
What I am trying to figure out is "Who are the ArmchairGM.com All-Stars???"
I want everyone to come up with a concensus 'starting nine' writers. If you can nominate the writer and their strength or sport of expertise, that would be awesome.
Example: "Patrickburke1980 - Maria Sharapova pictures
Don't just vote guys because you like them, vote because you like their work - whether you agree with them or not is irrelevant...
I'm relatively new here as #694 in registry (but #1 in your hearts and #33 in your 'rankings') and I want to know from the people who enjoy the postings - Who are your All-Stars???
Now feel free to nominate anyone you want - just not yourself - even go on anonymously to cast votes and hide your man crushes if you want...just don't nominate yourself. (and DON'T vote for me, I'm more 'Rookie of the Year' material unless I go fully Joe Charboneau on y'all - note: I can open beer bottles with my eye sockets)
Then when we finally figure out the top couple of writers, we'll come up with a way to whittle them down later. I'll arrange a prize/exciting challenge (hopefully I can pull this off) for them that will be enjoyed by all and hopefully beneficial to the site...but Top Writers will be ready for this challenge...
details to be released at another time...I don't want to sway the vote with my ground-breaking concept or e-mail me if you want to help me pull of a scheme that might get ArmchairGM a little positive pub and be a good time for all of us!!!
