Born on September 16, 1928 in West New York, New Jersey, Vito Valentinetti (Vito John Valentinetti) played for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 5 year career. Valentinetti broke into the bigs on June 20, 1954 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 3.78 ERA in 95.1 innings pitched in 1956, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Vito Valentinetti's best season was 1956, when he posted a 3.78 ERA.
