Born on July 11, 1911 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Vito Tamulis (Vitautris Casimirus Tamulis) played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns, Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 6 year career. Tamulis broke into the bigs on September 25, 1934 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 4.09 ERA in 160.2 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Vito Tamulis's best season was 1938, when he posted a 4.17 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 81 batters.
