Vinnie Smith (Vincent Ambrose Smith) was born on December 7, 1915 in Richmond, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on September 10, 1941 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Smith played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career.
