Vikings to Release Culpepper?

According to the the Miami Herald, the Minnesota Vikings will cut Daunte Culpepper. The Herald also reports that the Miami Dolphins will not purse Culpepper in a trade because they expect him to be released. The Dolphins will likely make a major push for for Drew Brees in the offseason and have also expressed interested in Steve McNair and Patrick Ramsey. A conflicting report has Culpepper staying in Minnesota.

Good riddance. Now, they can cut the rest of their roster and give up on football entirely.

Well it appears that Daunte Culpepper isn't going anywhere. Vikings owner Zygi Wilf has stated that the Vikings plan to give Culpepper a $6 million roster bonus next month.
