Vick Denied Work in the CFL

Football options are quickly closing for Michael Vick. The Canadian Football League Commissioner, Mark Cohon, issued a statement on Friday stating the viability of Vick in the CFL.

“In response to media inquiries regarding the possibility of Michael Vick playing in the CFL, I would like to clarify that any NFL players, who are currently under contract or serving a suspension, are prohibited from signing a CFL player contract as outlined by the League’s governing documents.”

The only option left is the AFL. No word yet from their league office.

I think Vick is more concerned about getting protection in prison then finding a job in the CFL.

He ain't going to the Club Fed that Pete Rose did. Vick's actions was not white collar. Hence, he is going to a likely place where the men are men, and weak men are the women.

He would be horrible in the AFL. To be a successful QB in Arena, you need accuracy. Vick does not have that.

Ju is right, how about as a WR/RB/QB. Just try him at different stuff and let him run around. I don't care if it it works or not but I'll sure as heck watch it.

Good on the CFL commissioner to set the record straight here, while Vick would be a great acquisition for any team here, we, the fans, don't want him even if he would fill up every stadium for every game he played in. No thanks.
