Vick's High School Takes Down Jersey

These days Michael Vick is like a bad case of hemorrhoids…Just aren’t sure when they’re going to flare up again! The damn thing about it, not even Preparation H can cure it! So why is Ron Mexico back in the news? Is it because for an instant he thought he was Ricky Williams and got charged with more charges while being on house arrest? No, this was last week…Keep up with your Vick current events! So was it having to face additional charges handed down by the state of Virginia? Again, old news…Current events people! How about becoming a PETA spokesperson? Well, that was this week, but early this week.
The latest to emerge from the saga known as, “The Michael Vick train wreck,” has his old jersey being removed from his high school's trophy case because of his conviction on a federal dogfighting charge. Michelle Price, a spokeswoman for the Newport News Public Schools, said Warwick High School principal Varinda Robinson decided to take the jersey down. Isn’t it so nice to see a school, which is be dubbed as a higher place of learning, deciding a month and a half after first he lied about his involvement in Bad Newz Kennels, and then pleaded guilty, to finally thinking it was in good taste to take down the jersey. Yeah, now that’s the way to stay on top of your current events! Wonder what pushed them over the edge? The Ricky Williams impression, or the additional charges from the state of Virginia? I might be Marc Ecko saying this, but what took so long?
Seems as if everybody that had some kind of ties to MV7 jumped off the sinking ship faster than a coach calls a timeout on a last second field goal! Why they all jumped overboard faster than Britney takes off her panties…Now that’s fast! Great to see Warwick’s students are receiving a piss poor edumcation! How do I know this? Well, it’s just a hunch…Let’s just say I have my theories! However, I will say ironically this does teach Warrick students valuable life lessons on so many levels…Not only from a positive stand point, but from a negative one as well! Price doubted the jersey would be returned to the trophy case. Really? You don’t say? I wonder why that is? Could it be the fact that he helped kill six to eight dogs, um, that we know of? Could it have anything to do with that? No way, Jose…No, it couldn’t have! Or you were still holding out hope that even though Vick admitted his guilt that somehow, someway, you’d wake up and this would all go away…And the jersey would just vanish into thin air like a puff of smoke from Vicks cake hole, hoping it wouldn’t have to physically be removed. The trophy case's prize possession could stay, rather than becoming the newest rag for Janitor Karl at Warrick to use. Whatever the “logical”, (and I use that term loosely…So loosely in fact it makes Paris Hilton jealous) rationalization you may come up with to have Vick’s jersey in the trophy case sends Warwick High students the message that Vick is someone to be admired. Which he, obviously, is not!
If Warrick students want to admire somebody, well admire Janitor Karl…For he’s finally putting that jersey to good use which is long over due!
