Born on July 19, 1963 in Manlio Fabio Altamirano, Veracruz (Mexico), Vicente Palacios (Vicente (Diaz) Palacios) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres over the course of his 8 year career. Palacios broke into the bigs on September 4, 1987 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.75 ERA in 81.2 innings pitched in 1991, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Vicente Palacios's best season was 1991, when he posted a 3.75 ERA and struck out 64 batters.
