Vic Power (Victor Pellot Power) was born on November 1, 1927 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1954 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1954, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 8 home runs and 38 RBI. Power played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Kansas City Athletics, Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels and California Angels over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Vic Power's best season was 1958, when he slugged 16 home runs, hit for a .312 average and knocked in 80 runs.
