Born on March 16, 1899 in Bel Air, Maryland, Vic Keen (Howard Victor Keen) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 8 year career. Keen broke into the bigs on August 13, 1918 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.00 ERA in 177 innings pitched in 1923, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Vic Keen's best season was 1924, when he posted a 3.80 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 75 batters.
