Born on August 3, 1920 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Vic Johnson (Victor Oscar Johnson) played for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 3 year career. Johnson broke into the bigs on May 3, 1944 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 4.01 ERA in 85.1 innings pitched in 1945, his rookie year.
