Born on October 25, 1893 in Crane, Indiana, Vic Aldridge (Victor Aldridge) played for the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Giants over the course of his 9 year career. Aldridge broke into the bigs on April 15, 1917 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.12 ERA in 106.2 innings pitched in 1917, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Vic Aldridge's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1922, when he posted a 3.52 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 66 batters. However, others believe that it was 1925, when he posted a 3.63 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 88 batters.
