Vern Roberson (Vernon Roberson) was born on August 3, 1952 in Natchitoches, Mississippi. After going to high school at Natchitoches (MS), Roberson attended Grambling State University. Roberson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1978 was Vern Roberson's best year.
