Vern Foltz (Vernon Foltz) was born on August 27, 1918 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Foltz attended St. Vincent College. Foltz made his professional debut in the NFL in 1944 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins over the course of his 2 year career.
