Vengeance --
[1] Talk about making a statement.
Daunte Culpepper returned to Miami on Sunday, and showed the Dolphins exactly how wrong they were to release him.
Culpepper was responsible for 5 touchdowns, throwing for 2 and rushing for 3, as the visiting Raiders easily defeated the Dolphins 35-17 at Dolphin Stadium.
Culpepper denied treating the game any differently, or having revenge on his mind.
"I would have had this intensity and this performance against any team." he said.
Sure.
After Daunte rushed for his second TD, he emphatically pointed to his knee while giving the crowd the "O.K." sign with his hand.
"He had a chip on his shoulder," teammate Warren Sapp said. "He wanted revenge....they say revenge is a dish best served cold...well, it was freezing out there."
While this was simply the latest example in a long history of ex-players returning to Miami to have a monster revenge game, Culpepper's performance on Sunday was the most embarrassing in recent memory.
"In any situation, you can start to play things back and forward, back and forward, back and forward," Cameron said. "Decisions are made for a variety of reasons and you've got to move on with all decisions."
As embarrassing as this had to be for Cameron, he has a plethora of other things to worry about than players who are no longer on his team.
Most notably being the atrocious run defense, which is the worst in the league and gave up nearly 300 rushing yards this week.
Trent Green's play has also been consistently inconsistent, following a couple of decent plays with backbreaking interceptions every week.
With plenty of decisions that need to be made, it is the one that Cameron made a couple of months ago that should be a constant reminder for him to think before he acts.
Culpepper made as loud of a statement as can possibly be made on Sunday, sending Cameron and the Dolphins a message.
For Dolphins fans, let's hope they got it.
