Vannie Albanese (Vincent Michelo Albanese) was born on December 2, 1912 in Syracuse, New York. After going to high school at Manlius (NY), Albanese attended Syracuse University. Albanese made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1938 was Vannie Albanese's best year.
