Vann Mcelroy (Vann William McElroy) was born on January 13, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama. After going to high school at Uvalde (TX), Mcelroy attended Baylor University. Mcelroy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Los Angeles Raiders. He played for the Los Angeles Raiders and Seattle Seahawks over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Vann Mcelroy's best year, as he picked off 8 passes and recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
