Van Edmondson (August Van Edmondson) was born on June 6, 1899 in Delaware County, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Maysville (AR), Edmondson attended the University of Oklahoma. Edmondson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Buffalo Rangers. He played for the Buffalo Rangers for his entire 1 year career.
