Valmy Thomas (Valmy Thomas) was born on October 21, 1928 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1957 for the New York Giants. In 1957, his rookie year, he hit .249 with 6 home runs and 31 RBI. Thomas played for the New York Giants, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 5 year career.
