Val Jansante (Valerio Richard Jansante) was born on September 27, 1920 in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. Jansante attended Duquesne University and Villanova University. Jansante made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Val Jansante's best year, as he hauled in 35 receptions, had 599 receiving yards and caught 5 TD passes.
