In 1980, Rosie Ruiz (left) won the Boston Marathon in 2:31:56 with nary a bead of sweat on her brow. How does one accomplish such a feat? By entering the race in the final half-mile. Ruiz had also earned her spot in the race by dominating the New York Marathon. Of course, in that competition, she reportedly rode the subway most of the way. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0607/gallery.caughtcheating/content.6.html
Duece McAllister - A great runner and a great guy, now at the end of his career with knee troubles. Stan "The Man" Musial - My favorite baseball player (even though I am not a Cardinals fan) Dave Stewart - A currently retired minor league ECHL Hockey Player for the now defunct Roanoke Express. He was the team captain, and if you ever got to see him play he was just awesome. I bought him a beer once. One of the big reasons I started to like hockey.
