......I'm back! Spent some time away from civilization, where internet access cost about $1/minute over a satellite phone....so it was once-a-month e-mail, never mind surfing the web. Came back just in time for Game 4 of the WS and Opening Day of the Celtics.

You can't get much more clear cut than me. I grew up an hour south of Cleveland and have loved Cleveland sports teams since birth. I was born and raised on the Cleveland Browns and was crushed when Art Modell moved them in 1995. Thankfully, the stars aligned and the Cleveland Indians gave us an amazing run until the end of the decade when the Browns finally returned. Things have been up and down ever since. The Browns have sucked year after year with the exception of 2001 when they lost in the first round of the playoffs to the hated Pittsburgh Steelers. Miraculously, the day before that heart-breaking loss, the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Miami Hurricanes in the Fiesta Bowl to become National Champions of college football. So far, that has been my only brush with a championship. While it was nice, it doesn't come close to how I will feel if one of my Cleveland teams ever get the job done. With LeBron signed on to be with the Cavs for the next four years, with a young, talented core in place on the Indians, and with a capable leadership team in place on the Browns, I am hopeful that I will soon see that championship that I have been dreaming about since I was a boy.
