Sports Information
Favorite MomentRed Sox winning World Series in 2004. Can anything top it? Correction: Something did -- the day my daughter was born!
Worst MomentPatriots losing to the Giants in the 2007-08 Super Bowl... Aaron Boone's game winning homer in Game 7 of the ALCS in 2003 -- winning the World Series may have made it hurt less, but I will never forget how badly it hurt.
Favorite AthletesOf all time, definitely Barry Sanders. Out of everyone currently playing, Kevin Garnett -- he gives 110% all the time, no matter what.
Least Favorite AthletesAt the moment, no one. I'm trying to be an equal opportunity sports fan. With the Yankees as the exception of course -- but I'll be the first to admit, I still love to watch them as much as I dislike them.

I just took Ted Ginn, Jr. in the last round of my last draft. We'll see how this plays out.  :-))

Maybe the "hands o' stone" comment was a bit of hyperbole. Technically, the FO stats are not drops. That information is not publicly available. They track targets and completions. What the 48% catch rate means is that 52% of the passes to Ginn are incomplete. This includes drops, passes defensed and passes that missed because of a poor throw or the receiver out of position etc. To me, catch rate is an accurate picture of how well a receiver does his job. Many factors go into whether a pass is complete or not. Catch rate incorporates them all.

Odds are he'll improve with Pennington at QB because part of the catch rate is reflective of the QB play. The exact percentage is unknown though.

I think he's a poor receiver who was highly overrated by the Dolphins. The people that drafted Ginn are now fired. Coincidence? I think not.

Can you trust the numbers from the Washington Post? Since the Drops statistic is not publicly available, how do you know how accurate it is?

Hell even passes defensed is controlled by the home team scorekeeper. For example, the Eagles consistently have more passes defensed than any other team in the league. With a defense rate that is significantly higher at home than on the road. Even road teams show higher passes defensed numbers when they visit the Eagles than anywhere else in the league. My point is that even the "official" stats are subject to scorekeeper judgment.

Have a nice day.
