No Al, It is not as glamorous as people think. There is a lot of hard work and dedication (love) to be a world class athlete. We didn't have all of the nice equipment or the scientific prepared workouts that were divised by us 60 through 90 players. Work hard play hard and play harder. Make no mistake about it. Baseball was a pure blooded sport were athletes respected their teammates and the game as well as their city and country. It is a great game and I would prefer to remember it the way I used to play it...Hard. Talk soon John DAcquisto

I should say in my minor league career. I had 15,368 pitches thrown before my major League debut. I struck over 1,560 some player in less than three year plus 600 major league strickout. Yes I was missused because I didn't want to say no to being used. I loved to play the game.

In my Rookie career I threw over 15,368 pitches. Oh yes wear and tear big time. Everytime my manager needed a pitcher to strike out someone he used me. It took me two year to recover and bounce back from that. No pitch counts back then, just go out there and get the job done. I hope that answers your question. John DAcquisto
