In a not so valiant effort team USA lost to Ghana thereby eliminating the team from competition. The team failed to qualify for the Round of 16 despite high hopes for US soccer success.

No way, man! Elvis lives!!! (Rock would be a skeleton in that closet by now) but I did also hear that the earth may possibly be round, even though it didn't save me any money on my car insurance...
