Two More Milestones to Put in the Books

Well, on Tuesday night, the number 756 was on everyone's mind when the Hank Aaron home run record was broken by Barry Bonds. On Wednesday, a couple more records were broken, including an additional home run added to Barry Bonds' career; he now has 757.
Baltimore Orioles' Miguel Tejada became the 252nd person in MLB history to hit 1000 RBIs. The 31 year old shortstop has accomplished yet another goal in his career, and it looks like he could be in the top 25 in career RBIs when his career is over. I know, he is not the name that comes to mind for a milestone or being huge in a category, but it is also a coincidence that he is one home run away from being the 181st player in history to hit 250 homers, and the 152nd person to hit 250 homers and bring in 1000 RBIs. He might do that sometime this week, maybe not. You never know what can happen in the MLB.
Speaking on thousands, someone else got their thousandth strikeout against the Houston Astros. That's right, Carlos Zambrano (excluding the fact that he pitched badly in his first loss since the All-Star Break) was able to strike out his thousandth batter of his career. The 26 year old hot headed fireballer, at this rate, can strike out his 3000th batter in his late 30s.
Both of these players seem to be having solid careers so far. Congratulations to both them. Let's see if they can get a more positive attitude from AGMers than the Barry Bonds achievement. :)
