The Turnpike Series was a term dubbed for a series between the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies, based on the New Jersey Turnpike connection. [1]

This can also be a rivalry between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Pittsburgh Pirates based on the Pennsylvania Turnpike connection. [2]
