Tuesday's Champions League Predictions

by Foolsgold

FC Porto 0, Liverpool 2
This match could very well end 0-0, it just depends on how FC Porto manager Jesualdo Ferreira approaches the match. With Torres, Gerrard, and Mascherano likely to start, it won't matter how brilliant Quaresma, Lucho Gonzalez, and Jorge Fucile play.

Real Madrid 3, Werder Bremen 1
Real Madrid is just playing too well right now for pretty much anyone to go into Santiago Bernabéu and beat them. Should be a fun one.

AC Milan 1, Benfica 1
I have a funny feeling that AC Milan are going to approach this match as if it will be cakewalk. It isn't, but fortunately they'll be saved by Kaka and garner the draw.

Schalke 04 1, Valencia 1
There's no question that Valencia are the better side here, but Schalke is tough, especially at Veltins-Arena.

Marseille 2, Besiktas 1
l'OM should be pretty pumped to be in the Champions League and will probably have little trouble with the Turkish side.

Chelsea 1, Rosenberg 1
I just don't see Chelsea taking the Swedish club seriously and that's too bad because they are not much of a minnow. Without Lampard and Drogba, the Blues probably won't have enough to overcome their lack of preparation.

Olympiakos 2, Lazio 2
This is one could get ugly as the Greeks are fierce at home and Lazio don't really have that much to offer other than their physicality.

Shaktar Donetsk 2, Celtic 1
Shaktar is a lot better than people think, including Celtic who'll probably underestimate the Ukrainian club.

You do go out on a limb FG...I like that. Jose will lose his ming if Chelsea don't win tonight. That's a lot of score draws too. The spanish hate playing in germany, so that might be a good call. I can't wait for it to start!!!!!!!!!!!

Rosenborg is a lot better than people think. They have ten internationals from five different countries on their squad. I know that's not even close to Chelsea, but for a 'minnow', it's quite impressive. Watch out for Per Ciljan Skjelbred, he's an absolute bad ass. The more I think about it though, the more I think Chelsea will win 3-1.

I like your first prediction better...but the 2nd is probably more realistic.

Genius. I can't believe you predicted that draw at Chelsea. iN all you're predictions were damn good..Benitez is not too upset about the draw, but Mourinho is pissed. Stamford bridge was half empty too...fair weather londoners!

Go Rosenborg, one small correction though, Rosenborg are Norwegian not Swedish. Also I cannot see AC Milan drawing at home, I think they will get all 3 points.
