Tubby Spencer

Tubby Spencer (Edward Russell Spencer) was born on January 26, 1884 in Oil City, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on July 23, 1905 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1906, his rookie year, he hit .176 with 0 home runs and 17 RBI. Spencer played for the St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 9 year career.
