Tub Welch (James Thomas Welch) was born on July 3, 1866 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on June 12, 1890 for the No Team Name Found. In 1895, his rookie year, he hit .242 with 1 home run and 8 RBI. Welch played for the No Team Name Found and Louisville Colonels over the course of his 2 year career.
