Troy Smith, 2006 Heisman Trophy winner
In an announcement that surprised approximately no one, Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith won the Heisman Trophy Saturday night. Smith, who piloted the Buckeyes to an undefeated regular season and the number one ranking in the BCS, shattered Reggie Bush's one-year-old record for dominance in the Heisman voting, netting over 85% of the possible first-place votes. Arkansas' Darren McFadden finished a distant second in the voting, followed by Notre Dame's Brady Quinn and West Virginia's Steve Slaton.
